Our story begins with a bumble account and a dream. For those of you who did not know - Patrick and Kate met on bumble...twice! Despite the pressure of women messaging men first (and what introduction to write), and both playing it coy about having matched previously, the pair enjoyed their first date with the obvious presence of Sydney, who immediately fell in love with Patrick, the ultimate key to Kate's heart. The pair talked and joked for a while and (with a little help from tequila) made things official on Cinco de Mayo 2021. The rest, as they say, is history!

On August 10th, 2025, Patrick and Kate made their way to Chris and Jenny's beautiful house in the Highlands for a previously scheduled 'Moana' movie night. With bellies full of rum punch and the anticipation of a beautiful lunch, Kate and Patrick were promptly ushered to the private beach with 'reports' of a whale sighting. As Kate had unfulfilled dreams of marine biology (surprisingly not a choice of major at a rural central Pennsylvania university) - she was naturally thrilled. After 10 minutes of searching for a non-existent whale, Patrick got on his knee and asked for a lifetime of adventures together. It was the happiest day of their lives (even if there was no whale).
